Features:
100% Solution Dyed Polypropylene Face Yarn System. This means the color is actually part of the fiber. You get maximum resistance to fading - even in extreme sunlight. Just as important, this process means your carpet is bleach resistant, making it easy to clean and disinfect.

Cut Versus Loop Pile Construction. Because our carpets are cut pile, they can’t unravel the way a loop pile does. You never have to worry about a child pulling a loose yarn and creating a run the length of the carpet.

Double-Stitched Edges. No one in the industry today manufactures with this technology. All rugs are finished with binding tape and double-stitched with continuous filament polypropylene serge (or edge) yarn. This reduces fuzzing and increases yarn tensile strength for a more durable edge.

Action-Back versus Foam or Jute. Each carpet is finished with an "action-back", an inert polypropylene material which does not foster bacterial growth. Foam backs trap spills and accidents breeding bacteria. An action-back lets messes pass through.

Oval Shape Option. The oval shaped carpet has become increasingly popular with daycare centers. The carpet shape is particularly good for Circletime activities.

Ten Year Wear Warranty. Carpets for Kids® Mt. Shasta Solid Color Collection© features a ten-year wear warranty.

Certification. The yarn base meets all standards of DOC-FF-1-70, Federal standards for surface flammability of carpets and all guidelines for NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, Class II.

Carpets for Kids® was founded in 1991 and is corporately located in Portland, Oregon with manufacturing at our Georgia facility. We are a family owned company that strives to produce the highest quality product for your children as well as keeping our product safe and long lasting.

Carpets For Kids® helps keep our planet green by reducing landfill waste. We send our unused production scraps and damaged goods from our Georgia facility to a nearby recycling center. Carpets For Kids® uses renewable power from PGE: Green Source. 100% of our monthly usage in our corporate office is offset with renewable resources. Our power comes from approximately 50% new wind, 40% geothermal and 10% biomass (wood waste) power.

All Carpets for Kids® products are 100% made in the USA and proud of it.  From the raw materials turned into carpeting, to the printing and finishing process of our product; all of it is done in the USA.
